Overall Job Purpose

The Office and HR manager is a pivotal role in ensuring the company and staff can work at their best. The successful candidate loves looking after people and enjoys making an office a place where people can work safely, effectively and thrive.

This position reports directly to the CFO with a dotted line to the People Director.

Key Expectations

This role requires you to be organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks at once.

We are a very faced paced office, and no day is the same. The successful candidate thrives on working across many areas of the business including finance and events, attending leadership team meetings, as well as ensuring the office is maintained and working properly.

People skills and the ability to manage a range of company needs and timings simultaneously is a key part of this role, especially when collaborating with the internal departments around you (sale, marketing, production, event management and finance) to ensure the smooth running of the office where our staff feel safe and able to work comfortably.

Roles & Responsibilities

Office Management

Negotiating rates & managing supplier contracts

Managing relationship with external providers including first point of contact for outsourced IT provider

Reception duties

Ordering office supplies

Maintaining the office, purchasing furniture, organising repairs and decoration

Managing company vehicles

Ad-hoc projects & office management duties

HR duties Recruitment

Maintain relationship with recruitment companies including negotiating rates

List job adverts

Respond to applicants, schedule interviews


Administration & logistics for new starters

Induction & training – HR systems, Microsoft Teams and policies & procedures


Maintain recruitment & HR guide and company policies

Oversee holidays & absences

Ensure files are updated with new starters/leavers in line with GDPR requirements

Performance management

Building and scheduling annual performance management reviews

Facilitating goals and objective setting with line managers

Employee relations

Dealing with all HR queries relating to admin, pensions and payroll

Working with the People Director to resolve more complex HR queries

Creating a great culture by arranging staff socials with the social committee

Assisting with employee exits


Managing multiple office budgets – including capital expenditure, repairs & maintenance

Weekly processing of company-wide credit cards and senior management

Processing supplier invoices

Maintaining employee information on the pension portal

Weekly timesheet processing

Executive assistant to CEO

Diary management

Arranging national & international travel

Minute taking

Managing guests of the CEO and Chairman at festivals
